Professional Development Placements are a valuable means of helping teachers and other education professionals to update their skills, knowledge and understanding of business and industry.

Placements are tailored to meet specific aims and objectives and can take the form of group or individual visits ranging from 1 to 5 days.

PDP activities may include:
· A tour of the business
· Meeting key personnel
· Shadowing a staff member
· Practical 'hands-on' activities
· Being part of a specific 'live' project, as an individual or team member
· Taking part in an organisation's training opportunities

Recent PDPs have taken place at Trant Construction, Eastleigh Borough Council, Flybe, Shorefield Holidays, Town & Country Museum, Ringwood Brewery, Mill Farm Organics, the Raptor and Reptile Centre, and Associated British Ports.
