Solent Skill Quest has celebrated the successful conclusion of it's Employer Brokerage Programme, which has supported training for small and medium-sized businesses across Hampshire. The ESF-funded project provided 70% towards upskilling staff across the Retail, Care, Leisure & Tourism, Construction & Engineering, and Hospitality Sectors.
Along with our partners, Portsmouth City Council, IBP, and ESSU, we supported 436 businesses and succeeded in funding training for over 1500 learners. The courses were very varied and ranged from short courses such as Appointed Persons First Aid and Website Design to longer courses such as NVQs. The demand from employers was overwhelming, with employers wanting to access funding to develop their staff through training and increase the economic development of their businesses.
