The second Construction and Built Environment Skills Festival was held in February 2008 in Hampshire.
The Festival showcased a wide range of careers within the construction industry and brought vocational learning to life through the use of interactive displays. The range of exhibitors was broad and included quantity and chartered surveyors, designers, architects, as well as, plasterers, carpenters, and bricklayers. Young people were offered guidance and advice on career choices and further education.
Organisers, Solent Skill Quest, attracted over 40 exhibitors and several hundred young people to the Construction Skills Festival from Schools and Colleges from across Southern England.
