Nearly 80 students from Southampton schools attended the Choices Conference, held at St Mary's Stadium, in April 2008 to hear about the options they have for further education once they leave school this summer.
The guest speaker was Olympic athelete, Iwan Thomas, who gave examples from his own experience to encourage the students to follow their dreams and work hard.
Representatives from all Southampton Colleges, Connexions, Youth Options, Protocol Skills, and Southampton City Training, were on hand to give advice, and during the afternoon session the students were taken to visit Southampton City, Itchen, and Tauntons Colleges.
